Countries in the euro area have established a mechanism
unprecedented aid to Greece consisting of loans
bilateral totaling 110 billion euros
(80 billion for the countries of the euro area and 30
billion for the International Monetary Fund).
The first installment of these loans will reach Athens
by May 19, when the Greek government
will refinance 8.5 billion euros of debt.
